How to use your spatreat voucher
Using your Spa Ireland spatreat voucher is very easy but here are some tips, which we hope will make it even easier.
What's a spatreat voucher?
It's a gift voucher, which will have either a named treatment value on it or a monetary amount. The spatreat voucher can be exchanged for either a treatment, or treatments, to the value specified on the spatreat, at any of the spas listed on the spatreat zone on www.spa-ireland.com.
Where can I use my spatreat voucher?
Your Spa Ireland spatreat can be used in any of the participating properties which feature on spa-ireland.com. This list may change from time to time so check out the site before you decide where to use it. Please note that not all properties which feature on the website accept spatreat vouchers.
How long is my spatreat voucher valid for?
It is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
Is my named spatreat valid in all participating properties?
Most of the time it is but not always. Some properties may offer an alternative treatment or apply a supplement to a named treatment. This will be common in our 5 star properties in particular. It is advisable to check that your spatreat is valid with your chosen property before arrival and to check if a supplement will apply.
Can my spa treat be used for a service other than the treatment specified on the voucher?
This is entirely at the discretion of the spa you choose so if the named treatment is not available, you should discuss this with the spa contact. In the event that a named spatreat is unavailable, the spa may offer an alternative treatment to the same value, and it is your choice whether to accept this or not.
What if my spatreat is for a monetary amount, for example €60.00, rather than a named treatment?
That means you can use the spatreat voucher value against any service or treatment in any of the participating spatreat partner properties. Most properties will also allow you to use it to purchase product to the value of the spatreat, just check with them in advance.
How do I make a booking using my Spa Ireland spa treat?
Log onto www.spa-ireland.com and go the section on spatreats to obtain a full list of participating properties along with their phone numbers.
Once you have selected your chosen spa, phone the spa and request your preferred dates, quoting your spa treat reference number. spatreats are always subject to availability and alternative dates may be offered in the instance that your chosen date is booked out.
What do I need to show at the property?
You should present your spa treat voucher when you arrive for your scheduled appointment and let the property know that you intend using it. Please do not wait until you are leaving as this makes it hard for the property to administer your stay. If you do not present your spatreat voucher, the spa is entitled to refuse a treatment or to request payment via an alternative method.
Can I use the spatreat in more than one property?
Usually a spatreat will be for a named value and one treatment so it will be used in just one property.
Can I use the spatreat for a treatment valued at a higher price than the spatreat itself?
This is at the discretion of the spa or hotel partner you have chosen to book. A treatment upgrade will usually be possible once the relevant supplement is paid. Some of our Spa Ireland properties already have a listed supplement attached to each spatreat, so please check on www.spa-ireland .com if a supplement applies for your chosen property.
If I spend less than the value of the spa treat voucher is it possible to get cash refund?
No, regrettably cash refunds are not offered on any unused values. From time to time, a property may offer a treatment that is of less value than the spa treat. In this instance, the responsibility lies with you to ensure you get the full voucher value on the day, either by purchasing product or by requesting a treatment upgrade.
What happens if I lose my spa treat?
Call Spa Ireland and we will verify the value and whether or not it has been presented. Once we are satisfied it is lost, we will cancel the spatreat voucher and re-issue a new one though the valid dates will remain identical to the original voucher purchase.
Can someone else use my spa treat voucher if I give it to him or her?
Strictly speaking, spa treats are not transferable and are issued to a named recipient but if there are exceptional circumstances, we will amend the recipient name and ensure that that person can use the voucher.
Can I use the spatreat voucher in a spa, which is not featured on spa-ireland.com?
No, we work with a great selection of partner properties, which we are happy to recommend for your enjoyment.
